PURPOSE:

 

The Knox County Food Safety Advisory Group is designed to insure food service operators/owners have the opportunity to provide comments with respect to policies, programs, and ordinance amendments being considered by the Knox County Health Department. The Group is a non-voting body. The Group reviews, evaluates and provides feedback to Health Department staff.   

 

MEMBERS:

 

The Workgroup shall consist of 9 to 11 members. Members will be recruited to represent different geographic areas of the County, food safety risk categories, type of population served (i.e. institutional, general public, school, and etc.), and Food Safety Permit Categories.
